Average college student and upstart furry artist. Havn't got anything quite ready to be posted but all in due time. All around easy going fur with a wonky temper...some things really irk me where others don't even classify as a minor annoyance.

Fursona description:

Black Liger

Digitigrade (Were rather than anthro)

Height: 6.5' Tall
Weight: 235
Fur Color: Black Base, Silver-White Stripes, Dark Silver Hair/Mane
Eye Color: Varies...Green to Grey to Blue
Sex: (Insert cliche here) M

Hobbies are numerous:

Computers: Gaming mostly, Hardware.

Cars: American Muscle Cars and working on them/ cursing at them...one usually preceeding the other in any order.

Art: Given but meh...

Snowboarding: Speed Freak, no tricks.

Racing: See above---------^
(Fact: Did you know that a horribly out of tune '88 Camaro can easily defeat just about all foreign tuner cars in terms of acceleration up the stock speed of 130MPH where then it turns over to the tuner's who have superior top speed {For the moment anyway})

Stereos: Car audio and home theatre (No such thing as too much bass...coming from a white boy...wierd huh?)

Cats: Hence the fursona...I relate to them and they to me...I have never crossed a cat that was afraid of me or me of it.

Models: Of all types, mostly Mechs and *sigh* lego's. This stems from 1) an extremely over-active imagination 2) A very anylitical and engineering geared mind and 3) It's just a good way to pass the time.

***WARNING INCOMING RANT***

Just when I think I've found someplace I can dig where everyones art no matter the style or content etc. is appreciated and accepted some puts has to come along and say "This place needs to be more family oriented."

Now I don't know about the rest of you but I prescribe to the George Carlin way of life...

"I don't have pet-peves I have major psychotic f-in hatreds." -George Carlin

That being said it's things like this that fall into that category of mine. If your going to create and host a web-service that allows the posting of artwork for others to view and your going to start it as anything goes BLOODY KEEP IT THAT WAY. If for ANY reason you have even the slightest hint of a firing-synapse in the direction of operating a family-freindly website then d---it start the site like that.

I am personally tired of finding places to chill and post my expressions only to have it reformed later on cause ONE friggin person wants the site to be family oriented and the techs and mods immediatly set about making huge reforms that are "In the interest of the majority" and forcing so many talented people offline or elsewhere because now they do not have the freedom of expression the once did and aren't going to waste their time at a place that wants to place limits and boundries on what is made viewable.

Now I don't mean to flame the techs and those responsible for bringing SA into existence but ffs guys...you had it right from day one. For general annonymous viewing make all the mature and adult rated pieces unvwieable until login is made and then allow the user to set whether these items are filtered out or not. IMHO that system works perfectly and under the previous TOS and the warnings given before viewing said artwork it was stated quite clearly that you agree to hold harmless this site it's supervisors or any affiliates or the artist for the content you are about to access.

CHRIST...just leave things the way they were. Any family oriented viewing is going to be done without being logged in anyways and personally I don't know any families that are going to huddle around the moniter and critique every last piece of artwork on sheezy and make a stink if they find something to their dislike. And if they do it's their own f-in fault for clicking the thumbnail that has MATURE or ADULT emblazoned across it and expose the kiddies to it. I personaluy feel that more emphasis needs to be placed on parents to pay attention to what their children are viewing and quit screwing with the TOS.

Someone a long ass time ago said "change is good" and I have to agree...when it comes to evolution or your preferance of breakfast cereal. Changes like this in the TOS serve no purpose other than to piss off your user bas, force the majority away and boost the minority, demoralize the community and enrage those, such as myself, who too often have seen the downfall of many an artist because some overly sensitive SOB clicked on a link and didn't pay attention to the WARNING ADULT MATERIAL and scarre him/herself or his/her children. CRIPES!!!

...

OK I feel better now. Not that it's going to make a differance to the mods and such but hey.

For those who care I got my car fixed and it's never run better. Even managed to go and "play" in the snow awhile (Powerslide competition anyone?). I've also finished a sketch or two but have yet to unravel the mystery of the in-operable scanner. You'd think that someone with 3-4 years A+ training could fix a damn scanner. Might just be the excuse I need to pony=up and buy a better one with higher rez.

Oh well...till next rant.

Cheers,

-NightWolfe
